Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a well-known American singer and actor. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is a nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. The mother of Kristen is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a skilled performer from a young age. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition and won an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom to become an agent when she was just thirteen years old. She was then chosen for the newspaper advertisements and commercials for TV. Now, Bell also begins individual acting classes. Bell played a small part that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell participated in the drama and music club of Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the role of the lead Dorothy part. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre after graduation. Bell dropped out of school in 2001 and began playing the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. The is the year she made her first credited debut in Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and The Crucible Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
