Farrah leni Fawcett began her career as a model in Corpus Christi in Texas. Over the course of her long and notable career she was nominated four times for an Emmy Award, six for the Golden Globe Award. Her acting journey began at the age of 16 in Texas and was based in Corpus Christi. She has also played in various TV shows including I Dream of Jeannie and The Flying Nun. She had her first film performance with a tiny role in The French feature film Love is a Funny Thing. The film gained her international fame due to her iconic red swimsuit poster. It was the highest selling pin-up image in the history of film. The following years she appeared on many other TV films and series which helped to establish her place in the world of sex as a famous figure. The audience was impressed by her performance as a private detective in the drama series "Charlie's Angels". The series followed the adventures of three female employees at the Los Angeles private detective firm. The TV series was about the exploits of three women who worked in the private detective department of a Los Angeles agency. In 1989, aged 59, she was found to be suffering from anal cancer. The cancer died three years after that.
