Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini who is a businessman. Linda is of Italian descent (her paternal grandfather), Irish, German, English and Scottish (her mother). Linda was raised within California in the San Francisco Bay area, California, the youngest of four children. As a ten-year-old old, Linda was captivated by acting when she performed the role of a singer in the Christmas show at her school. Her school involvement continued with plays and theater for the community. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School, Mountain View in California. After she graduated she had to make a decision which one she would prefer to relocate in New York or Los Angeles and study theater. LA was her choice. Linda was the first actress to play a major role on Bone Chillers, a 1996 television series. Her breakthrough came in Freaks and Geeks (1998). Lindsay Weir was her character in the Emmy-winning series.

Lily James is a stage name for Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson, an English actress born the 5th of April, 1989. She studied at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and started her career on the British television show Just William (2010). After her character as Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her breakthrough was her role as the lead in the film of fantasy Cinderella (2015). James was then cast as The Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV adaptation of War & Peace in 2016. James has appeared in a variety of films, including Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018, and The Dig 2021, as in the musicals Mamma Mia! Here We Go again (2018) and Yesterday and Yesterday in 2019. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022 to play Pamela Anderson, the star of Pam & Tommy.
