Antonia Lofaso

Antonia Lofaso's cuisine can be a way to investigate what lies within her. The food she serves evokes interest that was born from the moment she stepped out of the suburban areas of Long Island and into the culturally diverse landscape that is Los Angeles. Cavatelli, carnitas, and other dishes can all coexist on one menu. The menu is constantly shifting taste. But what remains is her distinctive vision of the future while still wishing to reminisce about the old. Motivated by her American-born Italian heritage, Lofaso opened Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 and was instantly well-received. The interpretation that Lofaso has given to classic Italian has been acclaimed by critics as being one of the best places to enjoy Italian cooking located in Los Angeles. Lofaso has been described by a lot of people as a local restaurant that consistently serves dishes that are authentic, tasty and welcoming. Lofaso worked under culinary greats to master their methods. But she didn't hesitate making bold choices in order to follow her intuition. After a brief period, Lofaso rose to the top of Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the following years, she worked with many famous celebrities and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. The home of Lofaso was located within Black Market Liquor Bar and her business alliances. This collaboration would foster the creative freedom Lofaso wanted. Black Market is not constrained by one definitive direction which is exactly what the idea. The first course could be potato chips and peppers dill, followed by Korean wings and meatballs. Antonia provides the overwhelming range of flavors. Lofaso's success has been measured by her ability to be true to herself while still knowing her viewers. In the course of her career, both Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars demonstrated her capability to communicate her personality outside of the kitchen. Since then she's continued to pursue her work in front of cameras as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge as well as regular appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso has released her book, The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Easy and Delicious Recipes, in 2012, with Penguin. The book also tells the story of her challenges during her time at The French Culinary Institute. She was raising her daughter Xea also. Lofaso believes that all her achievements are the result of her love cooking, and she's capable of keeping her finger in the middle of this field by staying in the kitchen. She has revolutionized the industry's style by redefining chef's attire to be functional and stylish, through her brand Chefletics. Lofaso's main concern is to remain committed to her goals. To achieve this goal, she launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This gives customers an extremely personal experience.
